Built right, start to finish
Many of our backyard projects combine a paver or concrete patio with a deck or pergola. Building them together means the heights line up, the stairs land where they should and drainage works for both.
We build in redwood and cedar for a classic look, and in composite decking for low maintenance and no splinters.

Decks & Pergolas questions
Do decks need a permit?
Raised decks, decks attached to the house and larger structures usually need a permit. Rules differ by city, so we confirm what's required for your address.
Wood or composite?
Redwood and cedar look natural and cost less upfront but need regular sealing. Composite costs more upfront and needs very little maintenance.
Can you build a pergola over an existing patio?
Often yes. We check the slab or pavers and add proper footings for the posts.
