Why homeowners choose walkways & stepping stones

Every visit starts with the walk to your door

Your front walkway helps create the first impression of your home. A wide, inviting path tells guests they're welcome before they ring the bell.

Out back, a stepping stone path through the garden turns a muddy side yard into a little stroll you actually enjoy. Small spaces, big difference in how your home feels every day.

Walkways & Stepping Stones

Simple paths, carefully set

We build front entry walks, side yard paths and garden walkways, from formal paver walks with borders to large concrete stepping stones set in mulch, gravel or turf.

Each path is set on a prepared base, even individual stepping stones, to help keep them steady and level over time.

What we do

Our Walkway & Stepping Stone Services

Front entry walkways

Paver or concrete walks from the sidewalk or driveway to your front door.

Side yard paths

Practical paths for bins and access, sloped to move water away from the house.

Stepping stone paths

Large concrete pads set in mulch, gravel, turf or decomposed granite.

Garden paths

Curved paver or flagstone paths through planting beds.

Entry landings

Wider landings at doors and gates with matching steps.

Path lighting

Low-voltage path and step lights planned during installation.

The care beneath the surface

What's under your path

Even a simple path benefits from a prepared base. These layers help keep each stone steady and help water drain away.

You won't see these layers once the project is finished, but they play an important role in how your new space looks and performs over the years.

Typical build-up. Depths are adjusted to your soil and use.

Our process

Our Walkway Process

  1. Plan the route

We walk the route with you and set widths, curves and where steps are needed.

  2. Excavate & grade

We excavate and set a gentle cross-slope so the path sheds water.

  3. Base

Base material is placed and compacted, including under stepping stones.

  4. Set the surface

Pavers, slabs or stepping stones are set level and evenly spaced.

  5. Fill & finish

Joints and gaps are filled with sand, gravel, mulch or turf, and the area is cleaned.

What Homeowners Are Saying

Yelp

This crew is impressive! They were on-site on the dot from 9am-5pm and cleaned up at the end of each day, including sweeping any debris on the street and my driveway. I was told work to be done in 2 weeks yet ended being completed in 1 without compromised! Exceeded all expectations! They were very detailed and meticulous with every slab placement and I couldn't be happier with the end results. Their work ethic is top notch and I would HIGHLY recommend Cunha Pavers! You won't be disappointed.

Great communications from Yasmin. After a week I decided to do my project from with Cunha Pavers. I was give 3 days work estimate time but the guys did over time and finished in 2 days, All of guys were great and very friendly. Also I got to stay home for 2 days and see guys work, we had some tacos and ice creams with the guys. It was fun also at same time they were very professional. Cunha Pavers also helped me extend my drive way now I can park 2 cars. Thank you Cunha Pavers and Thank you Yasmin.

Yelp

As a permit expediter I have seen my fair share of projects go sideways. Cunha pavers were excellent in service, quality of work and going the extra mile. Highly recommend and will use in the figure.

Yelp

We were referred to Cunha Pavers by a family friend. They have a great team of workers putting together our front yard and backyard. We worked closely with Yasmin and Leandro Jr. They were very responsive and excellent at keeping an open communication throughout the project. We got so much compliments from our neighbors, family and friends. They also have years of warranty for the work that they did. Thank you Cunha Pavers for making our home more beautiful.

I hired this company to put in pavers in the backyard. I am very pleased with the speed at which the project was completed, the professionalism and the overall end product. I am hiring them again to replace the walkway in the front of my house. I would refer and recommend this company to anyone who needs paving work of any type.

FAQ

Walkways & Stepping Stones questions

How wide should a walkway be?

Many homeowners like front walks wide enough for two people side by side, around 4 feet, and side yard paths of at least 3 feet. We'll suggest widths that fit your space.

Will stepping stones sink over time?

Stones set on a prepared, compacted base are much less likely to rock or sink than stones placed directly on soil.

Can you fix a walkway that holds water?

Often, yes. Regrading the path and adding a drain or gravel trench where needed can help water move away.
